Architecture Photography: Stair to Gate

Limited resource of photography gear require me get a bit more creative. In this photography, I did exactly that. To make my vision of the place that passes almost everyday. At Gadjah Mada University, there’s a place with huge stair that leading to the campus’s mosque. Between the mosque and stair, there is a gate-like structure. For me it can look great and can be made into fine art photography and so this is architecture photography: Stair to Gate

About Architecture Photography: Stair to Gate

Sony A58 with Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 at 1/25 sec, f/11, ISO100

This is a black and white architecture fine art photography. Taken in multiple photos and stitched together in photoshop as a panorama photography. The idea was to create fish eye angle view that leading to the middle of the photo, which is the gate-like structure. The problem is how to create such thing when I don’t have a fish eye lens and at the same time, still maintaining the lens distortion for everything, except the stair. To solve those problem, the easiest way is to make it into panorama. With panorama I don’t need to have a fish eye or ultra wide angle lens; and also maintain lens distortion.
